Halloween Movie
Can you really celebrate Halloween without watching at least one scary Halloween movie? Although the debate continues as to which of the following Halloween movies might be the scariest there is no doubt that watching any one of these flicks on a dark and dreary night makes for a perfect Halloween.
THE EXORCIST
Released in 1973, this fright fest about a 12 year old girl possessed by the devil shot to the top of the box office charts. Folks lined up around the block to see Linda Blair spew pea soup and cuss like a drunken sailor. Her head spinning is still one of the most iconic images ever captured on film.
POLTERGEIST
Imagine that our television sets could be the gateway to another dimension. That was one of the scary plot points in this 1982 Halloween movie classic. NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD
There have certainly been hundreds of zombie movies but the standard by which they are all judged is with this 1968 black and white masterpiece directed by George Romero. Made on a shoe string budget with “body parts” donated by a local butcher this is one Halloween movie that is perfect to play in the background of any Halloween party.
THE SILENCE OF THE LAMBS
If you haven’t seen this movie in a while, it’s time to watch it again.
